Hot News & Press from Doran Racing

Doran-Lista Racing/Practice report from Watkins Glen Friday

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y., June 18 - Didier Theys worked on the car's balance, Fredy
Lienhard got re-acclimated to Watkins Glen International, and Jan Magnussen
got his first taste of the famous 3.4-mile, 11-turn road course on Friday as
practice opened for Sunday's Sahlen's Sports Car Grand Prix Rolex Series race.

The Doran-Lista DORAN JE4 Lexus #27 had power steering for the first time
Friday. Driver comfort will be important in Sunday's six-hour race, especially if
it is run under the hot and muggy conditions the teams encountered here
Friday.

All three drivers drove during the one-and-one-half hour morning session.
They were 11th overall with a lap in 1:50.240 (111.030 mph) in that session.

In the 40-minute afternoon session Magnussen and Lienhard drove and the team
ended up 11th overall in that session too. That time its fastest lap was a
1:51.259 (110.014 mph).

"We're just working on the set-up," said Theys. "We're working on the balance
and the grip, and we're making progress. Fredy is getting back to speed after
being off for two months, and Jan is getting used to this track. We like the
power steering. It'll be a big help, especially after the second stint for
each driver on Sunday.

"We're pleased to be back at the Glen again and looking forward to Sunday's
race," Theys added.

"This is my first time here, and I like the track very much," said Magnussen,
who arrived in the states on Tuesday night after his class victory last
weekend in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France. "The track is very nice. We're
making some changes, and hopefully we'll be faster tomorrow."

"I'm only four seconds behind Jan, which is good for me," said Lienhard. "It
is good to have the power steering. Not only does it make it easier, but you
can also react faster, so it makes it quicker and even safer."

The fastest DORAN JE4 in both sessions was the G&W Motorsports/Rx.com DORAN
JE4 BMW of Cort Wagner, Brent Martini and Kelly Collins. It was fifth in the
first session and third in the second session.

The SunTrust Racing Riley Pontiac of Max Angelelli and Wayne Taylor was
fastest in both sessions. The fastest lap of the day was a 1:45.829 (115.658 mph)
run in the morning.

One more hour of practice remains on Saturday morning before qualifying at
1:25 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

The six-hour race starts at 11 a.m. Sunday. It will be broadcast on SPEED
live from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. All times are
Eastern.
