Doran-Lista Seventh in Practice
At Barber Motorsports Park Friday
BIRMINGHAM,
Ala., Oct. 8 - Didier Theys of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Andrea
Montermini of Modena, Italy got their first look at Barber
Motorsports Park
Thursday. Friday the pair recorded the seventh-fastest
time in both the first and
second official practice sessions for Sunday's Porsche
250 presented by Bradley
Arant Rolex series race with the car they'll share for
that event, the
Doran-Lista DORAN JE4 Lexus #27.
The
Lebanon, Ohio-based team's best time in the first practice
session Friday

Both
sessions were held under overcast but dry conditions.
Rain is predicted
Sunday.

Quotes
follow:
Didier
Theys: "We're working on the chassis to make the
car the best as we
possibly can for Sunday. The overall layout of this track
is very good. It
reminds me of European tracks. The track was designed
for motorcycles or smaller
cars than ours, so passing is going to be difficult. That
will be the same for
everyone, but I think there will be a lot of door-to-door
racing between the
Daytona Prototypes and the GT cars. The key will be to
keep our nose clean
and try to have a good finish."
Andrea
Montermini: "It's a very nice track. It's not high
speed, but it's
very technical. There are a couple of hairpins and the
up and down hills make
driving very nice. The handling of the car and the brakes
are very important
here. If you have enough downforce and brakes, then you're
not driving too
much on the edge. It's easy to lock the brakes here though
if your set-up isn't
right."
