Doran Racing Crown Royal Special Reserve DORAN JE4 Lexus #77, Update #2:
-Bobbi gets in the car shortly after 3:15 p.m. At 3:32
p.m. he pits, but
there is no driver change.
-At 4 p.m. the #77 is 13th, 1 lap down.
At 4:38 p.m. the #77 pits; Matteo Bobbi gets out and Didier
Theys gets in
for his first stint of the race.
-At 5 p.m. the #77 is 11th, 2 laps down.
Around 5:30 p.m. Theys is going to come out soon and Fabrizio
Gollin is
going to go in for this second stint.
-Theys pits shortly thereafter and Gollin gets in.
-Didier Theys: "The car is good for 10 laps, and then
it starts to get
loose. I just tried to preserve the rear tires as much as I could. The
goal is
to keep your tires in good condition for as long as possible."
-At 6 p.m. the #77 is 11th, one lap down.
Doran Labonte Racing DORAN JE4 Pontiac #44, Update #2:
-Around 3:30 p.m. Bryan Herta gets out and Bobby Labonte gets
in. Herta
had the car up as high as second during his stint.
-Bryan Herta: "I'm really happy. The car feels
really good. I was
trying not to push it too hard. We just need to stay out of trouble and
try to
stay with the front runners, which we're doing, and we'll be there."
-At 3:43 p.m. the No. 4 Pontiac passes Bobby Labonte in the
#44 for
second.
-At 3:46 Bobby Labonte gets passed by the No. 4 and is now
third.
-At 3:47 p.m. Bobby Labonte gets passed by the No. 10 and
is now fourth.
-At 3:49 p.m. Bobby Labonte gets passed by the No. 39 and
is now fifth.
-At 4 p.m. the #44 is 8th, on the lead lap.
-At 4:26 p.m. the #44 pits; Bobby Labonte gets out and Terry
Labonte gets
in.
-At 5 p.m. the #44 is 10th, 1 lap down.
-At 5:15 p.m. Jan Magnussen is ready to get in in about two
laps, except
there is now a yellow for debris; the rear deck came off a Ganassi car. We're
not going to pit until the green is about to wave again to try to stretch our
fuel.
-Around 5:30 the #44 pits under the full-course yellow; Terry
Labonte gets
out and Jan Magnussen gets in for his second stint of the race.
-Terry Labonte: "The car is loose. It felt like
the left rear tire was
gone. I had a couple of close calls; the traffic is really bad."
-At 6 p.m. the #44 is eighth, on the lead lap.
