Things Off to a Good Start at Mont-Tremblant

MOUNT-TREMBLANT, Que., May 19 - The Crown Royal Special Reserve DORAN JE4
Lexus No. 77 of Fabrizio Gollin and Matteo Bobbi recorded the fifth-fastest time
in the fourth and final test session Thursday afternoon at Le Circuit
Mont-Tremblant in preparation for Saturday's six-hour Rolex series enduro.

Equipped with sticker Hoosier tires in that stint, Gollin turned the
2.65-mile road course in 1:31.591 for an average speed of 104.159 mph on his fastest
lap. 

With that lap, the No. 77 ended up being the seventh-fastest car for the
entire day.

Neither Gollin or Bobbi had ever driven on this particular track before, but
they both like it.  They spent the day exploring their limits at the various
turns and working on the car's balance.

"It's a very challenging, very nice track," Gollin said. "It's very close
to European tracks.  Maybe this race we'll have less trouble.  At least we're
starting with a good feeling.

"The weather will be a big question mark," Gollin noted.  "Rain can come
here very quickly.  If it rains on Saturday, I think it will be very difficult. 
There are a lot of up-and-down hills and corners.  If it rains it will be very
interesting."

It sprinkled a little on Thursday, but the weather really wasn't a factor
during the test day.

"I know we can go faster," Bobbi said.  "The car is pretty consistent.  It
has good grip in the rear, but we'll work to improve the grip in the front. In
turn one I had to be very careful because the car moved around a lot in that
corner.

"It's a nice track," he added.

The first official practice session for Saturday's race will be held at 9:30
a.m. tomorrow.

Thursday's test results for the No. 77:
First test session: 10th with a best lap of 1:33.847 (101.655 mph);
Second test session was for GT cars only;
Third test session: 13th with a best lap of 1:32.814 (102.786 mph); and
Fourth test session: Fifth with a best lap of 1:31.591 (104.159 mph).
