Doran Racing's Crown Royal Special Reserve No. 77
To Start 11th in Sunday's Rolex Series Race at VIR

ALTON, Va., Oct. 8 - On Saturday rain continued to fall on Virginia
International Raceway for the second consecutive day, forcing officials to cancel
official qualifying for the Grand American Rolex series. Doran Racing drivers
Matteo Bobbi and Fabrizio Gollin will start 11th in the Crown Royal Special Reserve
DORAN JE4 Ford No. 77 after officials set the starting lineup for Sunday's
VIR 400 using team owners' points.

When qualifying was replaced by a 30-minute afternoon practice for Rolex
series GT and Daytona Prototype cars, Doran Racing used the limited amount of time
to scrub tires for tomorrow's race. Content with the car's handling, Fabrizio
Gollin completed two laps before parking the Crown Royal car for the day.

During the morning session both Doran Racing drivers completed a few laps in
the Crown Royal DORAN JE4 Ford despite treacherous track conditions. As one of
the first drivers on the track, huge trails of spray trailed the car as Bobbi
made his way down the front straight of the 3.27-mile VIR road circuit.
After completing four laps on a completely wet track, Bobbi said, "We were just
scrubbing tires. The track is very slippery and we cannot push the car." Bobbi's
best lap stopped the clocks at 2:08.042.

Soon after Gollin started his brief stint the track began to dry, allowing
the young Italian driver to improve the team's time to 2:03.575, eight-fastest
in the morning session.

Despite the remnants of Tropical Storm Tammy hammering the East Coast with
continued rain, the team is expecting dry weather for Sunday's race. After a
successful test under dry conditions at VIR prior to Friday's official practice
and two days of running in the rain, the team is hopeful for a good result
Sunday come rain or shine.

The race will be televised live on SPEED at 1 p.m. Eastern.
