Brix Qualifies 19th at Homestead Friday
In Feeds the Need/Doran Racing
Kodak EasyShare DORAN JE4 Ford No. 77

HOMESTEAD, Fla., March 24 - The entry of Rolex Series Daytona Prototype team point leader Feeds the Need/Doran Racing of Lebanon, Ohio will start on the inside of row 10 in the Rolex Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway Saturday night.

Harrison Brix of Campbell, Calif., qualified 19th Friday night in the team's Kodak EasyShare/Amp'd Mobile/SIRIUS DORAN JE4 Ford No. 77.  He'll share the car in Saturday's race, which will be televised on a tape-delayed basis on SPEED starting at 8 p.m. Eastern, with Terry Borcheller of Gainesville, Ga.

Brix's best lap in the 15-minute qualifying session was clocked in 1:16.368 (108.422 miles per hour) for the 2.3-mile road course.  The Alex Job Racing No. 23 got the pole with a 1:13.960 (111.952 mph).

"Our car was oversteering; I tried my best," Brix said immediately after climbing out of the car, which has a striking new paint design featuring a black roof and black bottom side panel to compliment the Kodak EasyShare yellow.  "The track was fast, but we're struggling with the set-up.  We haven't been able to find the sweet spot yet."

Tomorrow's race will be the first Rolex Series race at Homestead which will be held primarily at night.  "During the night practice it was very dark out there," Brix noted.  "They're going to try to add more lights and fix that."

Brix was involved in a multi-car crash here yesterday afternoon during practice but luckily the damage to the Kodak car was minor.  "It happened between one and two," he reported.  "The Crown Royal car, the Finlay car, a Porsche, the Lowe's car and I all got together," he said.  "Fortunately it was just cosmetic damage."

The team was pleased that one of its former drivers and a current associate sponsor, Fredy Lienhard of Lista, visited the team at Homestead earlier in the week from his home in Switzerland.

Live timing and scoring of tomorrow's race is slated for the Internet at grandamerican.com starting at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. The team's Web site is at doranracing.com.  Additional information is on line at fordracing.com, tborcheller.com, feedstheneedracing.com and restartcommunications.com.
