DORAN JE4 Ford No. 77
Finishes 19th at Homestead Saturday Night

HOMESTEAD, Fla., March 25 - After two hours and 45 minutes of yellow-plagued Rolex Series racing Saturday night at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the Feeds the Need/Doran Racing Kodak EasyShare/Amp'd Mobile/SIRIUS DORAN JE4 Ford No. 77 finished exactly where it started, in 19th place.

Although the team tried valiantly all weekend, it wasn't able to find a set-up to its liking here this year. Both drivers, Harrison Brix of Campbell, Calif., and Terry Borcheller of Gainesville, Ga., did their best behind the wheel, however, and brought the car home in one piece.

That wasn't the case for quite a few other entries in the 47-car field, as six cautions for 29 laps slowed the 107-lap race.  It was eventually won by the polesitter, the Alex Job Racing/Emory Motorsports No. 23.

Brix started the race and worked hard with the bars to try to alleviate a bad push.  Tire-build-up made things worse so he pitted on lap 33 for four fresh Hoosiers, fuel and Borcheller to take over.  Fuel accidentally spilled on Brix's back and left forearm during the stop, but he didn't seek medical treatment.

The team lost two laps at that point and it was never able to make them up. Perseverance and attrition helped the entry move up steadily throughout the night, however, and Borcheller took the checkered in 19th place.

"It just wasn't our night, but our Ford engine ran strong," Brix said.

"Our spotters did a great job," noted Borcheller.

"A car that finishes a race like this in one piece is a wonderful thing," noted Feeds the Need's Forest Barber, who was one of those spotters.

The race was broadcast on a same-day/tape-delayed basis on SPEED.

The team's next race is on the streets of Long Beach, Calif., April 8.  After that the team will travel to Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Va., for a race on April 23.
