Feeds the Need/Doran Racing Finishes Seventh
In Saturday's Rolex Series Daytona Prototype Race at VIR

ALTON, Va., April 22 - Terry Borcheller finished seventh in the 30-minute
Rolex Series Daytona Prototype qualifying race at VIRginia International Raceway
(VIR) Saturday afternoon.

The Feeds the Need/Doran Racing team also earned seventh-place points for
Saturday's race under a new qualifying format that will be used at selected venues
that creates weekend doubleheaders and increases the series schedule from 14 to
19 races.

By virtue of Borcheller's finish in the Saturday sprint, his co-driver,
Harrison Brix, will also start seventh in tomorrow's two-hour-and-45-minute race
here in the Feeds the Need Racing/Doran Racing DORAN JE4 Ford No. 77 that
carries the colors of the Kodak EasyShare System, Amp'd Mobile and SIRIUS.

Due to rain the starting grid for Saturday's race was based on team points,
and Borcheller started 11th.

A driving rain fell throughout the event, but once the green waved he got off
to a great start and he was up to ninth by lap three.  Borcheller then
battled the driver who was fastest in practice here Friday, Oswaldo Negri, for a
couple of laps until Negri passed Darren Law on lap six. Borcheller got around
Law too on lap eight to move into eighth.  He got seventh when the polesitter
and early leader, Scott Pruett, had an engine misfire and dropped back to
eventually finish 22nd when the checkered waved with 13 laps down.

The team was very pleased that Borcheller was able to bring the car home in
seventh place.

"The conditions were very bad; there was a lot of standing water and you
couldn't see anything," Borcheller said afterwards.  "I was able to get a couple
of spots at the beginning by being at the right place at the right time.  I
hung a little bit further back than some of the cars ahead of me just so I could
see where they were.

"The conditions were so bad that the windshield wiper didn't help much," he
added.  "Twice I thought I was in the middle of the track when actually I was
right on the edge."

The team will take this top-10 finish and the seventh-place points and try to
do as well or better in tomorrow's 250-mile/77-lap race, the second half of
the doubleheader.  Brix, of San Jose, Calif., will drive the first part of that
event before handing the car over to Borcheller, who lives in Vero Beach, Fla.

Tomorrow's race will be broadcast live on SPEED at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

The same doubleheader format will be used at four more Rolex Series Daytona
Prototype events: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Phoenix International Raceway, the
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and Barber Motorsports Park.
