Doran Racing's Brix to Start 13th
Tonight at Daytona
DAYTONA
BEACH, Fla., June 29, 1:30 p.m. - The field
for Thursday's Rolex
Series race at Daytona International Speedway
was set by team points when
communications between race control and
course safety officials broke down right
as
the second practice session was to be held
at 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
The
problem was fixed quickly, but the decision
was made to start by team
points and change the 12:40 p.m. qualifying
session into a shortened practice
session due to the day's packed schedule.
That
will put Harrison Brix and the Feeds the
Need/Doran Racing DORAN JE4
Ford No. 77 in the 13th spot for the start
of tonight's race.
Brix
was tenth in the shortened afternoon practice
session. The team was
15th in the morning practice session.
So
far the team's fastest lap has been a 1:47.559
run in the morning. The
fastest lap run so far today was the Ruby
Tuesday team's 1:44.779 run in the
afternoon.
