Hot News & Press from Doran Racing

Hour-Three Report from MMP

TOOELE, Utah, Sept. 2 - With six hours left in the nine-hour Discount
Tire SunChaser Rolex Series season finale at Miller Motorsports Park, Oriol
Servia is behind the wheel of the Feeds the Need/Doran Racing DORAN JE4 No. 77 and
it's in 14th place overall.  It's one lap down, but the car just recently
stopped for Michel Jourdain Jr. to get out and Servia to get in, so perhaps it can
get that lap back soon as others make their pit stops too.

The drivers have been trying to improve the car's handling by making
adjustments in the cockpit, and both Harrison Brix, who started the race, and
Jourdain say things are going pretty well.

Jourdain had a little incident with the No. 09 Daytona Prototype right
before he got out, but the Kodak EasyShare/Amp'd Mobile/SIRIUS machine doesn't
seem any worse for wear.

Harrison Brix: "We haven't had any problems so far.  Randy Ruhlman or
somebody in the Derhaag car broke in front of me, but I missed him.

"We're fighting for grip now, but the car is running really well.

"The track is slippery; it's dirty and really nasty."

Michele Jourdain Jr.: "I had an incident with the No. 09; he didn't see
me and we had contact.  It happed in Turn Five, Black Rock Hairpin, but our car
is OK."
No. 78:

Right now Oliver Kuttner is in the Doran Racing DORAN JE4 Pontiac No. 78.
It's currently in 20th place, four laps down, sandwiched between David
Empringham in the Vonage No. 89 and Robin Liddell's GT-class-leading Porsche on the
scoreboard.

Tony Ave started that car and then turned it over to James Gue.

Tony Ave: "I didn't have any incidents to speak of during my stint.  The
No. 17 GT car ran into the side of me, but it didn't hurt us.  It just bent
the wheel a little but we're OK.

"The track is starting to get dirty.  You really can't go off line;
there's a lot of rubber and trash off line."

James Gue: "I didn't have any issues during my stint.  We're just
plugging away.  The car is running fine.

"I think I've only seen three people go off; it's surprising how clean it
is right now."
