Doran-Lista Making Progress at PIR

    PHOENIX, April 8 - The Doran-Lista team is at Phoenix Int'l Raceway
today practicing for Saturday night's Food City 250 Rolex series race, which will
be shown live on SPEED at 9 p.m. Eastern time.

    The team was ninth overall and ninth in the Daytona Prototype class in
Thursday afternoon's practice session with a lap in 1:00.190 (90.314 mph).

    Thursday night the team moved up one spot, running eighth overall and in
DP with a 1:00.217.

    "We're just working on the set-up and getting Fredy comfortable in the
car again; he hasn't driven since Daytona," noted lead driver Didier Theys,
referring to his teammate, Fredy Lienhard.

    "Things are going better than I expected," Lienhard said. 

    The SunTrust Riley of Wayne Taylor and Max Angelelli topped the charts in
both sessions today with an overall best lap of 57.501 seconds, which it
recorded tonight.

    The fastest DORAN JE4 here so far is the Bell Motorsports Kodak EasyShare
DORAN JE4 Pontiac #54 of Forest Barber and Terry Borcheller, which was fourth
tonight with a 58.834.

    Practice continues tomorrow at 2:05 p.m. with a one-hour session before
qualifying is held at 4:25 p.m. for the DP class.
