So Far, Magnussen Loves Mont-Tremblant

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec, May 21 - The Doran-Lista DORAN JE4 Lexus #27 was
fourth-fastest in the first practice session and third-fastest in the second
practice session Friday at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant.

Denmark's Jan Magnussen was in the car for both sessions today, while he and
Didier Theys shared the driving duties during the promoter's test day
Thursday.  No official times were kept yesterday.

Magnussen's fastest lap Friday morning was his 18th one, when he was clocked
in 1:31.349 for an average speed of 104.435 mph.  In the afternoon his ninth
lap was his fastest.  That was done in 1:31.935 for an average speed of 103.769
mph.

When all the team's best times from both sessions are combined, the SunTrust
Riley Pontiac of Emanuel Collard, Wayne Taylor and Max Angelelli was fastest
with a 1:29.313 (106.815 mph).  The CompUSA Riley Lexus of Scott Pruett and
Max Papis was next with a 1:29.841 (106.188 mph); the Michael Shank Racing DORAN
Lexus of Oswaldo Negri Jr. and Burt Frisselle was third with a 1:30.300
(105.648 mph) and the Doran-Lista team was fourth with its time from the first
round.

The weather was crisp and sunny Friday.  Scattered showers are expected for
the weekend, which could affect Sunday's six-hour race.  It will be televised
live on SPEED.

"So far we're in good shape," Magnussen said.  "I believe we're as strong as
anybody else here.  This is my first time at this track but already it has
made my list of my top three tracks. It's a nice change from your typical Formula
1 circuit."

When asked to list those favorite tracks, Magnussen said "Laguna Seca is
first; Bathurst is second and now Mont-Tremblant is third."

Kevin Doran and the rest of the Lebanon, Ohio-based team have been working
hard to arrive at the best set-up possible for Sunday's six-hour race.

"We changed the springs today and we made some changes to the dampers
[brakes]; we made some pretty big changes, but I think we've gone in the right
direction every time with our changes," Magnussen said.

"It's been awhile since I've enjoyed myself so much," he added.

Theys is also enjoying himself at Mont-Tremblant.

"I worked on the chassis yesterday, and Jan worked on it today," he said.  "I
think we have a good race car."

Another practice session is slated for Saturday morning before qualifying at
1:30 p.m.  The race starts at 11 a.m. Sunday.  All times are Eastern
