Bobbi Qualifies 11th
For Sunday's Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen
In Doran Racing's Crown Royal Special Reserve
DORAN JE4 Lexus No. 77

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y., June 11 - Matteo Bobbi qualified 11th Saturday at Watkins
Glen International for Sunday's Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen Rolex series
race in Doran Racing's Crown Royal Special Reserve DORAN JE4 Lexus No. 77.

Bobbi's fastest lap in the 15-minute qualifying session was timed in 1:47.360
for an average speed of 114.009 mph.  He'll start alongside Burt Frisselle in
the Rx.com/Synergy Racing DORAN JE4 BMW in row six tomorrow before handing
the car over to his co-driver, Fabrizio Gollin.

All three DORAN JE4s in the field qualified together, as the Kodak/Bell
Motorsports Pontiac was tenth.

Athough Doran Racing has a stellar record at Watkins Glen, it is the first
start ever at this particular track for either Bobbi or Gollin.

The car was 12th in the morning practice session with a 1:47.846 (113.495
mph).

"We need to find more speed," Bobbi said immediately after the qualifying
session concluded.  "It is a long race tomorrow though, so anything can happen."

Only 1.673 seconds separated the top 11 cars.  Further showing how close the
field is, if Bobbi had been able to qualify just one second faster he would
have been fourth.

Twenty-one Daytona Prototypes and 25 GT cars are entered in the six-hour
race, which starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

The Watkins Glen area is experiencing very hot and humid conditions.  The
weather forecast warns that thunderstorms could hit at any time, especially in
the afternoons.

SPEED will cover tomorrow's race live in two segments.  Part 1 is scheduled
to air from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., while Part 2 runs from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30
p.m. All times are Eastern.
