Bobbi and Gollin Finish 14th
In Sunday's Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen
In Doran Racing's Crown Royal Special Reserve
DORAN JE4 Lexus No. 77

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y., June 12 - Matteo Bobbi and Fabrizio Gollin finished 14th
both in the Daytona Prototype class and overall with Doran Racing's Crown
Royal Special Reserve DORAN JE4 Lexus Sunday at Watkins Glen International in the
Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen Rolex series race despite losing four laps when
the car spun in another competitor's oil.

Bobbi received a stop-and-go penalty for jumping the initial start but he was
able to battle back into the top 10 during his first stint.  He was already
15th by lap 10 and eighth by lap 28. He was able to keep the car in the top 10,
on the same lap as the leader, the rest of the way through that over
two-hour-long stint.

Gollin took over around lap 60 and he too continued to stay in striking
distance, as the team was smartly biding its time and trying to save the car for a
run at the end.

Unfortunately that was not to be.  The Stevenson Motorsports Corvette leaked
oil over a great deal of the track around lap 92, and Gollin slipped in the
oil when he crossed its path.  He didn't hit the wall when he fish-tailed out of
control on lap 95 but he did end up in a gravel trap in turn 15 with the
Autometrics Motorsports Porsche, and then he couldn't get the car's engine to
refire.  The car had to be towed into the pits by a tow rope, and the entry went
four laps down and found itself in 17th place.

Bobbi got in the car later and then Gollin did so too as both rookies got
more valuable experience on the very challenging 3.4-mile road course.  Since
there are two other races at this facility later this year, that should be
helpful seat-time in the future.

Bobbi spun in turn seven on lap 136 under heavy rain conditions with
approximately 40 minutes left in the race, but he was able to regroup and continue.
The entry was also able to move up three more spots on the scoreboard before the
finish at the six-hour, 150-lap mark despite the rain and fog that further
complicated the hot and humid conditions.

Tracy Krohn and Nick Jonsson won the race.  The Frisselle brothers had the
highest-finishing DORAN JE4, as they placed ninth.

In other news, a picture of Doran Racing's Crown Royal Special Reserve DORAN
JE4 Lexus is going to be on Watkins Glen's new 20-foot show car transporter
that will debut this coming weekend in Buffalo, N.Y.  It transports the Glen's
show car to various locations in the East to promote the track's events.  The
Crown Royal Special Reserve is one of three cars shown on the transporter and
the only one representing the Rolex series.  The other two cars depicted are
Danica Patrick's Rahal Letterman Racing Indy car and Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s
Budweiser NASCAR NEXTEL Cup car.

Also, Gollin is leaving for France tomorrow in order to make his first start
in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this coming weekend.  He's slated to drive the
ProDrive Ferrari 550 fielded by BMS Scuderia Italia with veteran Cristian
Pescatori and Miguel Ramos as his co-drivers.

Quotes follow:

Fabizio Gollin: "I must speak with God and see what's happened!  In the
corner before the last one, another car lost a lot of oil.  I started to spin in
it.  I fish-tailed but I didn't touch the wall, only the gravel.  The car
wouldn't restart and we lost four laps.

"We didn't want to push in the beginning because we wanted no crashes and to
finish the race. I really must speak to God.  We seem to have a black cloud
over us.

"The car was really quite good.  The traction control was broken, which made
it difficult, but the car was really good.

"The car was very hot because the driver cooling system wasn't working.  The
ice melted and we couldn't get it changed on a pit stop.  It was very hot."

Matteo Bobbi: "I spun in the grass in the late stages of the race due to the
rain. We  seem to just be unlucky.   I drove for two hours and 20 minutes at
the beginning, and it was very hard due to the heat.  It was just a very
difficult day for us."
