Hot News & Press from Doran Racing

Thursday Test Report

LEXINGTON, Ohio, Aug. 25 - Fabrizio Gollin and Matteo Bobbi got a taste of
the real thing rather than the Internet version as they took their first laps at
the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course Thursday in Doran Racing's Crown Royal Special
Reserve DORAN JE4 Ford No. 77.

No times were available to the press from either test session Thursday, but
things went fairly well for the Lebanon, Ohio-based team.  Gollin spun into a
gravel trap in the first session after he lost control on the straightaway
before the last turn, but the Doran Racing team worked swiftly to get the car back
in good shape for the afternoon session.

"I was thinking in English instead of Italian, and I just lost it," Gollin
said.  "There wasn't anyone else involved.  I was just trying to find the limit."

Both Gollin and Bobbi said that the track is very difficult.

The first official practice session for the Daytona Prototypes cars is slated
for 11 a.m. Friday.  The car will be back on the track for more practice at
2:10 p.m. and then Bobbi will go for the pole at 4:55 p.m.
