Lead driver Terry Borcheller had an altercation
with Christian Fittipaldi on
Thursday but the damage was minor and both
he and Harrison Brix recorded
valuable laps both days on the 2.3-mile,
16-turn road course.
The team worked on various things during
Friday's practice sessions with the
car, which carries the colors of the Kodak
EasyShare System, Amp'd Mobile and
SIRIUS. It ended up 21st for the
day with a best lap of 1:24.377 (98.131

Both days' activities were held under hot
and humid conditions, but no rain
occurred.
Practice resumes Saturday morning at 10
a.m. There's an autograph session
in
the covered paddock area where tech is
performed tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.

on SPEED live at 3 p.m. Eastern time.
In other news, series officials announced
today that the Rolex Series will
stage an event on the road course at the
new Iowa Speedway on July 13-14, 2007.
NASCAR's Rusty Wallace designed the track,
which features a seven-eighths-mile
oval and a 1.3-mile infield road course. It's
located in Newton, Iowa, about
25 miles east of Des Moines.
Also, SPEED's Chris Neville is missing
this race because he's recuperating
from a broken heel sustained when he fell
off a ladder while painting a vaulted
ceiling at his new home. Everyone on the
Doran Racing team wishes him a speedy
recovery.
Mike Johnson will substitute for Neville
on pit road on Sunday. |
