Brian Frisslle Looks to Move Forward from Fifth at Watkins Glen
Brian Frisselle will start the Canadian Tire 200 from the third row of the grid after posting a quick lap time of 1:06.907 seconds around the 2.45-mile Watkins Glen International short-course in the 10th round of the 2011 GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series season. Having led the day's second practice session, Frisselle had been hopeful for a sixth consecutive top-five starting spot at the Glen's short-course event, but battled unexpected handling issues during the 15-minute qualifying session.

Brian Frisselle and his Office Depot Doran Racing squad attempted a risky strategy in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Continental Tire Sports Car Festival Powered by Mazda race. Up to now, Frisselle’s co-driver Henri Richard has driven the first stint before turning over to Frisselle. Richard is an accomplished gentleman racer and a Rolex Series rookie who shows great potential. But, with such an aggressive field of talented racers, the No.77 Office Depot machine has found itself responding to a larger than desired deficit by the time Frisselle gets behind the wheel.

Brian Frisselle drove the No. 77 Office Depot Doran Racing Ford Dallara to a ninth place finish in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series 250 Driven by VisitFlorida.com at Road America. Before heading off to the next Rolex Series round, Frisselle will spend a week at Camp Boggy Creek outside of Orlando, Fla., where he will serve as a counselor to children aged 7-16 who are afflicted with life-threatening illnesses.

Brian Frisselle Finishes Fifth in Harrowing Race at VIR
Brian Frisselle scored a career best finish at Virginia International Raceway and season’s best finish with a fifth place result in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Bosch Engineering 250. The race began amid a heavy downpour and would remain wet offline through to the end of the race. It was an incident-filled affair, but Frisselle’s drive in the Office Depot Doran Racing No. 77 Ford Dallara was entirely rock solid.

Last year, after a strong qualifying effort was thwarted at race time by some bad racing luck, Brian Frisselle finished in seventh place at the Bosch Engineering 250, one of his nine Top 10 finishes on the year. Ross Kaiser goes to the Daytona International Speedway for the January Roar before the Rolex 24. This is his biggest challenge yet testing with some of the greatest drivers, Juan Pablo Montoya, Dario Franchitti, Jimmi Johnson and Scott Dixon. There will be a new racer to keep an eye on this year as Tim Bell has been signed to drive the No. 14 BMW 128i for Doran Racing in the full season of GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge competition. Bell will contend for the MESCO Building for the Future Rookie of the Year Award as he steps up to the pro ranks of GRAND-AM racing after gaining experience in the BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA) racing series.
